We believe that children are a precious gift from God and should be gently guided with love and care.
Children need a safe, nurturing, age-
*Infant Care -
St. John’s caregivers don’t believe infants can be spoiled and every opportunity to hold, cuddle, and simply enjoy interacting with the infants is taken to insure a loving atmosphere. The same caregivers are responsible for the infants each day. This promotes a trusting bond between the child and the caregiver. Infants have opportunities daily for large and small motor, sensory, social, discovery, and creative activities. Each day an Infant Report will go home with your child with information on diaper changes, naps, meals, and activities.
*Toddler Care -
Toddlers are becoming more independent as they grow. The caregivers encourage independence in daily play, learning activities, and life skill experiences. The children are provided opportunities daily for large and small motor, sensory, social, discovery, and creative activities. Each day a Toddler Report will go home with your child. This form includes information on eating, napping, and diapering or toilet training.
*Preschool Care -
Transition Room -- This room is designated for children two and a half to three years of age. We developed this room to help with the transition from the toddler program to the preschool program. The children have the opportunity to develop their ever changing skills to help prepare them for the preschool room.
Preschool Room -- Activities are presented daily that enhance the intellectual, physical, social, emotional, creative, and spiritual needs of each child. The preschool children learn through doing, and are given opportunities each day to develop the skills necessary for success in kindergarten. Emphasis is placed on Literacy Skills (reading and writing), and Math Skills (counting and simple math)
*School Age Care -
Our school age program is offered to all children ages 6-
We offer the school age children a safe place to make new friends while enjoying age appropriate activities. The children in our program will have a fun filled summer while maintaining their academic skills. Activities include, but are not limited to, arts and crafts, nature walks, water days, reading and math games.
